About Me

Getting to know someone can be tricky at the best of times, particularly when the only way to do that is through a computer screen. Yet, here we are. So, let me start by saying hello and welcome to amylouiseweb.

If you like chatty, life updates and the occasional post about travel, then amylouiseweb should be on your following list! I upload once a week, but I don’t put pressure on myself to publish content super-super regularly; I want whatever I post on this blog to be posted because I want to write about it, not just to hit those weekly figures.

I love the blogging community and want to make amylouiseweb a place for others to connect – I’ve already made lots of Twitter blogging friends!

On a more personal note…

I’m living in Gloucestershire with my flatmates, and I study at the university. I’m in my final year of my course, English Language and Creative Writing and on the hunt for a job to start when I graduate this year! It’s all very exciting but also very strange… you can read more about this here.

At ‘home-home’, I have an adorable yet hyperactive dog called Bonnie, who I love to pieces. Oh, go on then, here’s a picture of her.

I come from a little village in the Midlands, where I grew up with my sister. Coming from such a small place meant that moving to Gloucestershire was quite a change in lifestyle for me – no waiting around for buses! No tractors! No cows blocking the road! No need for my parents to drive me everywhere! It was a change for the better because university has definitely helped to improve my confidence.

So, this blog is here to document my life updates, my occasional trips away and to talk about life in general. Thanks for reading.
